Description
Heimskringla was an Icelandic newspaper published in Winnipeg from September 1886 to July 1959. The newspaper got its name from a Medieval Icelandic literary work. Heimskringla was founded by F. B. Anderson who graduated from Manitoba College in 1885. The publication suspended from December 1886 to April 1887. In 1892, Heimskringla absorbed Oldin to become Heimskringla og Oldin. Then in 1959 Heimskringla og Oldin merged with Logberg to form Logberg-Heimskringla. The newspaper also had English content.
