The Department of English and Film Studies (EFS) is pleased to welcome J.R. Carpenter to the University of Alberta as our 2020-21 Writer-in-Residence. J.R. is an award-winning artist, writer, and, practice-led researcher working across print, performance, and digital media. Themes of place, displacement, migration, and climate change have long pervaded her writing.
