CIRV Radio International FM 88.9 Toronto was born to meet the need of growing multicultural communities in Toronto. Since 1986, CIRV Radio has been transmitting live from downtown Toronto. In 1993, CIRV Radio was granted a class 'A' licence to increase its frequency power to expand coverage beyond the Greater Toronto Area to serve all of Southwestern Ontario. CIRV Radio now transmits in 12 languages.
