Please read the appended letter expressing support from Canadian academics for rapid, meaningful government action to reduce greenhouse emissions. Specifically, it declares solidarity with the Extinction Rebellion response to government inaction to date.
The letter comes to me via a UAlberta colleague who received it from Nora Jaffary at Concordia University. Nora writes that “once we reach 100 signatures, XRQC’s communications team will reach out to journalists to make a story out of it. Please circulate this letter among your colleagues, especially those in scientific departments.”
