He is a drummer in the shrine, mostly the big tall drum that has a larger voice and is louder than the others. He started to learn to drum when he was a child at home from his parents and grandparents. The songs have remained the same. None of the traditions have been lost. The old songs have been affected by popular music but it is easier to stave off popular music in the village. The shrine plays a large role in keeping traditions alive.
