How to digitize VHS tapes

1. Connect the VCR you are using to the Digital Video Camera using an RCA cable.

2. Turn on VCR & Digital Video Camera in VCR mode. On the DV Camera, check the following settings:

3. Insert a VHS into the VCR. Fast forward & rewind it.

4. Open Final Cut Pro. Final Cut Pro may prompt you to set a scratch disk. If so, set the scratch to a folder on the desktop called Final Cut Scratch.

5. Click on File>Log and Capture. In the Log and Capture window, there are 3 tabs on the right hand side: , Clip Settings and Capture Settings.

6. Connect the Digital Video Camera to the G5 with a firewire cable.
