The Basic Gota Movement

  • With your left foot down, put your right heel forward, and slightly lift the heel of your left foot.
  • Shift your weight to your left foot, so that it is completely on the ground.
  • Move your right foot back and step on the ball of your foot. While you are stepping on the ball of your right foot, raise the heel of your left foot, so that the ball of your left foot is on the ground and your body is raised. It kind of looks like you do a hop.
  • Bring your left heel back down to the ground and repeat.
