Assignment 1 : Musique Concrète Study

Due Date: TUESDAY, JAN 25, 9:30 AM

Using the object you chose/created for assignment 1, create a short (1 min) composition based on recordings of this object. You should record the object yourself with a microphone. You many use any of the following techniques to create your composition:

  • cutting/splicing (organisation)
  • looping (tape loops, etc)
  • speed changes
  • layering
  • tape echo / delay effects
  • reverberation effects

Economy is always good! Try to squeeze as much interest out a as few techniques as you can.
