On the Wednesday, February 2 noon meeting we are going to have an informal discussion about the candidate, Jon Kertzer, whom visited with us last week. The purpose of this meeting is primarily to give students an opportunity to express their views and impressions of the candidate. Federico Spinetti, a member of the search committee, would like to get an idea of how Jon Kertzer's profile and public presentations have been received by us, especially by the ethno students.

As part of the feedback process, there's also an evaluation form (attached) that can be completed and sent directly to the Office of the Dean or, by email, to the Dean's executive assistant, Shelley Klatt (shelley.klatt@ualberta.ca).

For those who did not attend Kertzer's public presentation on his vision of folkwaysAlive!, here's a link to the video recording of his talk:

All students who were in attendance at Jon Kertzer's talks or meetings - or who would like to comment on his videoed presentation - are welcome and encouraged to provide their opinions at the CCE meeting or through the evaluation form or both.

Wednesday February 2, 12 - 1pm, Arts 347.
