First part (C)

  • Bilafrah (Signature piece) (Hijaz G, maqsum). Intro (perc remember "stops"), then play entire form once through all together. Repeat form: ud solo, then violin solo, then ensemble. Repeat intro section. Then repeat form once more: nay/clarinet solo, then org solo, then ensemble. End.
  • taqsim Ud (Hijaz G to Nahawand C))
  • Dulab Nahawand (Nahawand C, wahda/maqsum). Intruments lead with upbeat, then percussion enter (wahda, then maqsum). Percussion solo (Steve). Repeat form from top.
  • Sama`i Nahawand (takht subgroup) (Nahawand C, sama`i). Takht only.
  • Shoore Aasheqaneh (Persian tasnif) (Nahawand C). Elaheh solo. Intro: tonbak 4x
  • Ya Banat Iskandariyya (Nahawand C, maqsum). Instr (org lead) free 1x, then add perc 1x, then alternate vocals and instrumental sections: violins, nay/clarinet, uds; end with vocals 2x
  • Nassem alayna al-hawa (Kurd G, maqsum). (solo group: Karim/Tarek, Samira/Nadia) Org leads instruments freely on intro melody, then repeat intro melody with percussion/meter, chorus 3x (group, solo, group), verse, chorus, intro melody, verse, chorus 2x.
  • Taqsim org (Kurd G to Nahawand G)
  • Longa Riyad(Nahawand G, fox). Takht only.
  • Ah Ya Lally (Nahawand G, masmudi). Org free, add perc, alt vocal solo (Tarek) and chorus; instr section before final verse.

Second part (D)

  • Dulab Bayyati (Bayyati D, wahda). Perc 4x, repeat form twice.
  • Taqsim (Bayyati D)
  • Sama`i Bayyati (Bayyati D, Sama`i thaqil). Instr start with upbeat, then percussion follow. Solos: ud, violin, nay.
  • Habbaytak (Bayyati D, maqsum/wahda). Ud cue with ostinato; enter instr + perc.
  • Percussion piece (Steve's arrangement), with dancer.
  • Lamma Bada (Nahawand G, Sama`i thaqil). Perc 2x, instr 1x, chorus, instr, chorus, end w/ perc 2x.
  • Ya Rayah (Nahawand D). Org solo, perc 4x, instr, (chorus, instr, verse)--all 3x, chorus 2x.
  • Foug al-Nakhal (Nahawand D, Maqsum). Org solo, then w/ instr 1x freely, then add perc 1x, then chorus 2x, verse, chorus, verse, chorus 2x.
  • taqsim Ud (Nahawand D to Saba D)
  • Saba Samir (Saba D, maqsum/wahda/sa`idi). Perc 4x, then solos: ud, violins, nay/clarinet. Finish ensemble. Note: following solo, instrumental section repeats. Percussion switch from maqsum, to wahda, to sa`idi.
  • Dulab and taqsim Bayyati (Bayyati D, fox/ciftetelli). Instr start, perc follow. First round of solos: violin, nay. Second round: org. Third round: ud. End with scale (descending then ascending).
  • Ah ya hilw (Bayyati D, masmudi). Org provide key; Samira starts solo - beginning "Ah Ya Hilw", followed by instrumental section, then percussion.
  • al-Hilwa Di (Hijaz D, maqsum). (Nadia and Samira). Start with ud and qanun (no percussion), then percussion and chorus enter together. After first verses, there is an instrumental section, then chorus returns. Don’t forget to slow down at end, with switch to Bayyati.
  • Ah Ya Zayn (Hijaz D, maqsum). Percussion 4x cycles. Start with Omer, then vocal chorus. Thereafter: alternate instrumental (violin, nay, ud) and vocal repeats. Each instrument or section takes a solo on cue, followed by vocal. Then repeat twice more with chorus. On the final repeat, accelerate, then decelerate to close.

Final (encore)

  • Zuruni (Agam Bb, maqsum). Nadia/Karim/Tarek solo. Perc 4x, instr 2x, verse/chorus (alt), final chorus 2x.
