Interests: Studying to be a Master Drummer
Q: You’re always there while we’re practicing our drumming and dancing and you play along too. Which drums do you know?
A: All of them. I’m learning how to play each drum.
Q: Why are you learning them?
A: I’m learning them so I can be a master drummer.
Q: How long does that take?
A: Oh a 3 years. I’ve been taught how to drum for 2 years.
Q: Why do you want to be a master drummer?
A: I want to be a master drummer. Kwasi is teaching Yao and I so that when we know all the drumming, he can bring us to Canada to help him teach.
Q: Is it important to teach Canadians how to drum?
A: Yes, because I can get profit out of it. I want to live in Canada.
Q: What will you do with the profit from teaching Canadians about Ghana’s drumming?
A: I will come back and make sure the village is going well.
Q: What interests you most about Canada?
A: I’m interested in Toronto. I want to learn about music there so I can be a better teacher.
