Bruderheim Church
Jaroslaw (Bruderheim) – Holy Spirit [Holy Ghost] Parish
The first church we photographed was Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church (Jaroslaw). This church was built in the early 1950s.
We interviewed David Burzminski and his mother on September 2, 2006 in his mother’s house in Bruderheim, AB.

The cemetery is across the road and David told us about the families of the people buried there. An excerpt from this can be seen below:
On Saturday August 23, 2008 there was a Closing Divine Liturgy celebrated at the church. The church was full for this very beautiful and sad occasion. Some pictures from this and a short video can be seen below:
