Richard Kover

 

kover-photo_ed       Richard Kover holds a PhD in philosophy from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium and is currently an instructor with the Office of Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Alberta. He is also the managing editor of The Trumpeter http://trumpeter.athabascau.ca/index.php/trumpet  and the author of a number of peer reviewed publications on eco-phenomenology, landscape aesthetics, indigenous environmental thought and hunting and the ethics of food.  He specializes in environmental philosophy and ethics, philosophy of technology, philosophical anthropology, political and cultural theory, and contemporary Continental philosophy.  He is particularly interested in the aesthetic, cultural and symbolic dimensions of the petroleum industry, both globally and in Canada.
