PhD Studentships in Environmental Social Science

It provides a stimulating, innovative and supportive research environment in which graduate students can fruitfully explore natural and human environments, and their myriad interactions and inter-connections.

The 2013 Leiden Rankings placed UEA 14th in the UK and in the top 1% in the Times Higher Education World League Table (2013). Norwich was acknowledged as having the fourth greatest concentration of ‘most highly-cited researchers’ in the UK, after London, Oxford and Cambridge.

The Canadian Water Resources Association annually offers five scholarships awarded to graduate students whose programs of study focus on applied, natural, or social science aspects of water resources. The $5,000 Dillon Consulting Scholarship is awarded to the highest ranked of the applicants. Funding is provided by Dillon Consulting Ltd. on an annual basis. The $2,000 Ken Thomson Scholarship is awarded to the second highest ranked applicant. The Ken Thomson Scholarship is awarded from a special fund set up in his honour. In addition, three $1,500 scholarships are awarded from the general funds of the Canadian Water Resources Association. All applicants receive a one-year membership in the Canadian Water Resources Association.
