Dinka Text: Ya Agɔɔk yen eye monydu. Ke luel Awut ye eh. Agɔɔk e monydie. Mony ci cin kuoi cuol eye monydu. Go luel ye eh. Mony ci nyin la ɣolol yen eye monydu. Go luel ye eh. Mony ci thar waany yen eye monydu. Go luel ye eh. Mony naŋ thar yol yen eye monydu. Go luel ye eh. Aya Awut ke gam eya kedhia. Eke piou riak yen Awan ku jel. Na le ke Awut abe lɔk tak. Ku bi ku lek kek monyde. Lek keek Agɔɔk. Luel wet ci Awan luel eke. Jel ket ke ye dit.


English Translation: He asked, "Is Agɔɔk your husband?" Then Awut agreed. "Agɔɔk is my husband." "The man, who has dark hands, he is your husband?" Then she agreed. "The man, who has sunken eyes, he is your husband?" Then she agreed. "The man, who has a red behind, he is your husband?" Then she agreed. "The man, who has a tail, he is your husband?" Then she agreed. Awut accepted all of these things. Then Awan become angry and left. Afterwards, Awut thinks about the previous discussion. And she will tell these things to her husband. Tell these things to Agɔɔk. She said thus, "the words said by Awan is this." She sang them in the form of a song.
