The home of Oksana Fedorivna Kryvorot, DOB 1918. She is usually called Baba San'ka. She gave an excellent account of a funeral, as well as local legends. Furthermore, she is a performer and sang folk songs and ballads. In the photo with her is Mykhailo Dmytrovych Koval'. Baba San'ka is wearing a typical woman's summer outfit. In the background are numerous examples of material culture: rugs on the wall, rushnyky, embroidered pictures, coverlets and pillows. The multi-colored circular piece is crocheted and used either as a rug or a wall decoration, as here. Under the bought yellow and red coverlet is a bed edging, which is typical and is homemade. People embroider a kind of bed trim, which hangs on the bed and serves as decoration. It is not changed with the bed linens. Koval' is sitting on the prepichok, the shelf next to the stove, which is often used as a sleeping area in the winter.
