| Petro Litovka and a neighbor. Drinking problems were fairly widespread. Before, the functioning commercial establishment was the bread store. Now it is the handelyk (a bar of sorts) where Petro constantly wanted to go, except that his wife would not let him. Neither would she let him have any of the liquor which was in the house. His way to avoid this problem was to go to the neighbors'. Then the man of the house would ask the wife to give the visitor 100 grams (of home brew). His wife could not refuse this.
