| The wedding of Serhii Mykolaiovych Brovarets to Zoia Ivanivna Zaiets. The bargaining continues. This was one of the many things done in triplicate. The druzhka supposedly withdrew in disgust, saying that the groom and his party were not offering enough for the bride. They knocked again and the bargaining started again. Again the druzhka withdrew. From the folklorist's vantage point and from what was lying on the ground, the groom's party first offered kupony: these were the coupons used in the transitional period after the independence of Ukraine. Then they offered coins. Finally, they offered bills. Among the stuff on the ground was play money: fake American dollars.
