| Wedding in Krut'ky. The starosta (ritual elder) begins the gift giving at the groom's home. He offers a piece of the korovai and asks the guests to come up and offer gifts to the couple. The godparents and parents are called upon to give gifts first; then the younger relatives and friends of the couple. After that, the wedding guests come up of their own volition and in no particular order to give gifts. Gift giving takes place at both houses, first at the home of the bride, before the departure to the groom's home, then at the home of the groom, as here.
