Instead of using a rushnyk (one large, single piece of cloth) draped over the icons, this method uses three pieces. The two panels on the side are much like the two lower parts of a traditional rushnyk. The top, instead of being the folded-over, non-embroidered part of the rushnyk, is a separate piece, sort of like the valance of a window curtain, and is embroidered in a pattern that coordinates with the side panels. Also note the tulle on the windows and the embroidered picture of two birds on the left. Beneath the icons is a table. Hanging a piece of cloth from the table and using the bottom of it for storage, a sort of impromptu chest, is also typical.
