| The cemetery in Iavorivka. Each plot has a fence. Grave markers are crosses or marble slabs with a slanted top. Latter usually have portraits of the deceased. Artificial flowers are placed on both crosses and stone slabs. Each plot usually has several graves. Each grave is often demarcated; in the plot in the foreground, each grave has a concrete edge. Flowers and other gifts are placed on individual graves. In Iavorivka, when you visit the graves of your relatives, you leave them flowers or candy, or both. Throwing a candy or two on each grave is very common practice.
