| Odarka Panchenko, a folk artist who makes paper flowers, which she sells in Cherkasy, Kyiv, etc. She is also and excellent informant about the life cycle, particularly courtship and the institution of the pokrytka (the girl who bears a child out of wedlock--a special ceremony is conducted to mark her as a woman which involves covering the head, analogous to what is done in the marriage ceremony).
