| Village women on the road to Pluzhnyky, the neighboring village, to attend a funeral. The women pictured are members of the pevcha, or church choir. The bag contains copies of the books from which they will read the songs that they need to sing as part of the service. It also contains candy to give away to people attending the funeral. When a person accepts candy, he or she is supposed to utter good wishes for the deceased.
