Getting Access to the TAPoR Room:

  1. Email one of the following individuals to request access to the TAPoR Lab:
    • Dr. John Newman: john.newman@ualberta.ca
    • Dr. Geoffrey Rockwell: geoffrey.rockwell@ualberta.ca

  2. If they approve your getting access, they will send a note to Karl Anvik to get you a log-in and a note to staff at ARC General Office to get your ONECARD updated.
  3. Once staff at the ARC General Office (Arts 134) have been informed that access has been approved, bring your ONECARD there and get your card swiped by them for access.

Getting Access to TAPoR Lab Computers:

  1. Email Karl Anvik (kanvik@ualberta.ca) and CC one of the following individuals requesting access to the TAPoR lab computers:
    • Dr. John Newman: john.newman@ualberta.ca
    • Dr. Geoffrey Rockwell: geoffrey.rockwell@ualberta.ca

  2. Karl Anvik will then send you an email notifying you that the account has been created. However, you must then synchronize your CCID and Tapor Account.

  3. Follow the link in the email that Eric sent you to: https://enoch.tapor.ualberta.ca/password/

  4. Enter your CCID username and password into the fields Userid and Password at the bottom of the page.

  5. If everything went well, you should see a message saying “Authentication to CNS was successful.”

  6. Click the Next button, and the server will find your TAPoR account for you. If successful, you should see a message saying “Your account has been located in the TAPoR database.”

  7. Click the Next button one more time to synchronize the accounts.

  8. You should now have a TAPoR account which has the same username and password as your CCID. Try logging into a computer in the Tapor lab now.

  9. If you are not able to log-in, you must contact Karl Anvik again and work with him to fix any issues that may have caused you to not be able to log-in.
