What does it mean to be a global citizen and build peace? The Youth Millennium Project (YMP) engages youth in 82 countries to not only participate in, but lead major change in their communities, from environmental protection in Taiwan to educational development in Uganda to literacy in Guyana. The result? Decreasing fear and increasing the peace. How can you become a force for global leadership in your community, and around the world?

This conference will shed light on the lives and experiences of children and youth affected by war and explore the three major facets of becoming a youth peace leader: leading awareness, leading assistance, and leading activity.

Hosted by Jian Ghomeshi of CBC's Play, and Nazanin Afshin-Jam, Miss World Canada
