Bombies
Unexploded cluster bombs – or "bombies" - remain in the millions
throughout rural Laos, as a legacy of the Vietnam War. They
affect food security and development, while tearing the social
fabric of one of the world's most neglected countries. This
film pays particular attention to children, who make up more

A Child's Century of War
This is a journey through the landscape of conflicts in Chechnya,
Sierra Leone and the West Bank, seen through children's eyes
and told by their voices. Through each child's story, we learn
about their experience, their struggles toward adulthood and
new ways to protect and heal war's most innocent victims. Bishari

A Moment in Time – The United Colours of Bronstein
Following the remarkable life of Canadian children's rights
advocate, Naomi Bronstein, the film tells the stories of children
in Cambodia, Guatemala and Vietnam – including the 140 refugee
children killed in a plane crash during the evacuation of Saigon.
It includes a reunion of some of the children of war, to whom

Innocence Under Siege
This film explores the physical and psychological scars suffered
by children in war. Innocence Under Siege examines the efforts
by local communities in Rwanda and Sierra Leone to meet the
needs of war-affected children, including child-led households

Musicians in the War Zone
Much Music and War Child Canada traveled to Sierra Leone, Iraq
and the
Thai-Burmese border with some prominent Canadian recording artists.
While in the field, Rascalz, Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida
(Our Lady Peace), and David Usher became journalists and narrators,
exploring the impact of war on the lives of young people. A

Child Soldiers
As young as Kay Yussuf, Kay Moussah and Steven Swenkey are,
all three are veterans of war. During the nine years of civil
war in Sierra Leone, children have been forced into combat.
UNICEF documents estimate the total to be 5,000 children; other
sources think the number is closer to 10,000 or 15,000. Macumba

Rwanda in Search of Hope
Join a journey of 12 Canadians who travel to Rwanda to try and
understand why 1 million people died brutally in the Spring
of 1994. There is a special emphasis on the orphans of war and
women, particularly victims of rape, and the therapeutic programs

War Babies
While much attention has been given to the women survivors of
wartime rape, this is the first film to focus on the children
conceived in such violence. What kind of life can these children
expect? Can they ever become proper family members? How can
they cope with the trauma? How can a mother love her tormentor's
child? WAR BABIES explores the relationships between women and

The Right to Play
The Right to Play Project brings humanitarian relief to young
refugees from Eritrea, now living in refugee camps in Sudan.
Canadian rower and Olympic medalist Silken Laumann participated
as part of her commitment to fight for the basic rights guaranteed
in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child

Through Innocent Eyes
Playing war is a child's game the world over. But for too many
children, being caught in the reality of adult warfare is a
living nightmare from which there is no waking. Through Innocent
Eyes tells the story of these young casualties of war and the
difficult work of building a future for survivors. The video
and study guide challenge viewers to become active peacebuilders
