Description
Framfari was an Icelandic language newspaper published in Riverton, Manitoba. Being published tri-monthly, Framfari was the first regular Icelandic newspaper in Manitoba. The newspaper was started by Sigtryggur Jónasson on September 10, 1877. Framfari published for only less than three years. It ceased publication on January 30, 1880. The newspaper failed due to the internal divisions within itself.
