Der Deutsche Reformer was a German language newspaper that was first issued in Waterloo, Ontario on June 6, 1863. It was a four-page newspaper that had five columns per page. The contents of this newspaper featured mostly of political news. With the intention to become the leading newspaper of reform and independence, the newspaper promised to combat suppression of the truth and to present facts in the most simple ways. Der Deutsche Reformer had just a few numbers before it ceased publication in the autumn of the same year, when Jakob Teuscher, the publisher and editor, moved to Stratford to begin the publishing of another newspaper.
